Impossible Fallout’ Composer Lorne Balfe on Crafting an Epic Score.
    July 30, 2018.

The high quality of Fallout extends to composer Lorne Balfe’s epic, pulsing score. His music plays a vital role in keeping the momentum up over the course of the movie’s two-hour plus runtime. There’s dynamism to Balfe’s work here that compliments the alternatively massive and emotional moments in the film. When Fallout goes big, Balfe proves he’s more than up for the challenge with a thrilling soundscape. That’s all not to mention his unique spin on the classic Mission: Impossibletheme. Balfe’s score feels absolutely huge and is guaranteed to make you run 1,000 times faster than normal speed.

“Even if the movie was half as spectacular and draining as the critics said, the music would surely fill up the rest. I did change a couple of T-shirts during the 95 minutes run of this one as it was on its own as suspenseful as a captivating movie. With a monstrous score like this, I can’t wait to go to the cinema and experience the entire context of this jaw dropping movie that got the score it needed to be even more spectacular. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, if you want epic disaster or action music, Lorne Balfe is one of your safest bets around”.

“We should also take time to single out Lorne Balfe’s monster of a score, which takes Lalo Schifrin’s familiarMission: Impossibletheme and twists it into a cantankerous, thundering backwash. Just how pivotal the music is to Fallout’s suspense shouldn’t be underestimated”
